Origin Story

When Milan’s Campari Bros. launched their eponymous bottle they led their marketing efforts with Milano-Torino (Campari & vermouth). On hot days people would add soda to make it long and thus Americanos were born. A now forgotten cocktail, you can try a Milano-Torino while building yourself an Americano. Just take a sip before you add the soda. Easy.

Note: As our No.2 Camille’s Red is less sweet and more subtle in flavour those old Italian boys, we dial down the Campari to balance the experience.

Add charred rosemary leaves for an earthy update. Cin cin Mr Lyan for this suggestion.

Add 30ml of coffee liqueur to make that alliterative classic the Americano, Americano.

Or be more James Bond and add Perrier instead of soda water “the cheapest way to improve a drink is to use expensive soda”
