Blood and Sand
Ingredients
30ml The London Vermouth Company No.2 Camille’s Red
30ml Berry Bros. Sherry Cask Matured Whisky
60ml Orange juice (blood orange if you can find it)
(Blood) Orange peel or a super fresh cherry
Method
Fill a coupe or a pair of Nick and Nora glasses with ice to pre-chill before discarding
Shake all ingredients together over ice and strain into your, now empty, chilled glass
Garnish with a flamed orange peel or when in season the freshest cherry you can find
Pick a movie and chill
How to flame?
Take a wide slice of orange rind. Run a naked flame gently back and forth over the outside warming the oils. Gently squeeze the peel over the flame, lighting the oils as they fall into your glass.
